Though West Yellowstone sits at the doorstep of iconic public lands, with just 700 year-round residents but over 4 million annual visitors, it lacks welcoming public space within the town itself. The historic district remains underutilized and poorly connected to the recently built Shortline Trail. 3FWILD is working with the Town of West Yellowstone, local nonprofits and the community to envision a greenway that improves trail access and unites residents, workers, and tourists through public spaces, while supporting fundraising and creating momentum.
